Bromley, who has Neurofibromatosis Type 1, a genetic disorder causing benign tumors on the nerves, had just finished treatment at King's College Hospital.
Expressing shock, Bromley recounted how he was told he was 'scaring customers.' Hoping to raise awareness, Bromley reported the incident to the Metropolitan Police, who classified it as a hate crime.
Charities such as Nerve Tumours UK are working with UKHospitality to improve staff education on such conditions.
