The assault occurred on Bridge Street, near the Villiers Arms pub, by an unknown assailant who was part of a group of men. Emergency services responded to the incident on October 21, the same day Swansea City played Leicester City.
Although the man initially declined medical attention at the scene, he later became unwell, collapsed, and was transported to the hospital, where he remains in a critical condition. South Wales Police are conducting extensive inquiries to identify the suspect and the group involved.
