A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 40-year-old woman who was shot in Talbot Green, a town located approximately 15 miles west of Cardiff.

The incident occurred on Sunday evening, where police responded to reports of a woman discovered with serious injuries in the Green Park area shortly after 6 PM. Emergency services were unable to save her, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detective Chief Inspector James Morris commented on the incident, expressing an understanding of the community's concern and assuring residents that a team of experienced detectives is actively working to establish the sequence of events leading to the shooting.

Several crime scenes have been established in the vicinity, and road closures are currently in effect as the investigation continues.
