A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a significant firearms recovery operation in Glasgow. The police, specifically the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit (OCCTU), discovered firearms and a quantity of ammunition during a search of a property on Benview Street in Maryhill. The operation took place shortly before 13:00 on a Friday.
The suspect is set to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday, facing charges related to the firearms recovery. Detective Chief Inspector Steven Elliot emphasized the importance of such operations and urged the public to report any information or concerns regarding firearms activity in their area to Police Scotland.
