In a national address on Wednesday, French President Emmanuel Macron suggested that European military forces might be sent to Ukraine after a peace agreement is reached to avert future Russian aggression.

Macron clarified that these forces would not engage in active combat but would be deployed to ensure compliance with the peace agreement once it is finalized.

He stressed the importance of establishing a strong international framework to discourage any further violations by Russia.

Additionally, Macron revealed that military leaders from various European countries will gather in Paris next week to discuss support strategies for Ukraine in light of a potential peace deal.

The talks are anticipated to concentrate on logistical, strategic, and humanitarian aid, strengthening a united European approach to regional security amid the ongoing tensions between Ukraine and Russia.
