In the aftermath of a major blaze at Luton Airport's Terminal 2 car park, up to 100 cars are set to be removed from the top of the damaged structure. The fire, which broke out on October 10th, led to the destruction of over 1,400 vehicles.

The car park is expected to be demolished, and the operation to remove the cars is intended to stabilize the structure. While the driverless shuttle link to the airport has reopened after being temporarily suspended due to the fire, the car park remains unsafe, with adverse weather conditions further complicating the situation. The airport is working with engineers, experts, and insurers to assess the condition of the remaining vehicles in the car park.
