Expected disruptions from Sunday to Friday have been averted. Workers were in dispute with Transport for London (TfL) over a pay rise offer of 5%, which they said was below inflation. However, discussions have led to new funding for a settlement, prompting the strike's suspension.

Despite the late cancellation, TfL anticipates some minor service interruptions. RMT's Mick Lynch looks forward to productive discussions for a resolution. London Mayor Sadiq Khan expressed relief at the strike's withdrawal, which would have been detrimental to the capital at a critical time.

Though TfL insists it can't raise the initial offer, the Mayor has secured additional funds to aid in the dispute's resolution. TfL aims to collaborate with unions to minimize London disruptions. The cancelled strike has saved London's hospitality industry from a potential £50 million loss.
