The pro-Palestinian demonstration, which saw about 300,000 participants, coincided with Armistice Day and called for a Gaza ceasefire. The charged individuals, aged between 23 and 75, are from various parts of the UK and face charges such as weapon possession, drug possession, and assault on emergency workers.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak condemned the violence, particularly from EDL members, and Home Secretary Suella Braverman expressed outrage over the injuries to police officers. The police are also investigating antisemitic hate crimes and other serious offences related to the protests.

Footage of Michael Gove being escorted by police at Victoria Station amid the protests has circulated on social media. The police have issued an appeal for information related to hate crimes and threatening behavior during the protests. The Remembrance Sunday service at the Cenotaph proceeded without incident.
