London flat up for rent for £910 a month lets you sleep inside a cupboard

Ah, London. A wonderful place where you can live just like Harry Potter.

Not in terms of magic or chocolate frogs, to be clear.

Instead you can sleep just like the boy wizard did at 4 Privet Drive – in a cupboard.

And bonus: you’ll only have to pay £910 a month for the honour.

A ‘spacious ground floor studio flat’ in Hendon, London, has landed on Zoopla and attracted attention for all the wrong reasons.

At first, it looks perfectly nice. There’s a decent living room, a kitchen, and even a bathtub to soak in.

The ‘studio flat’ is in Hendon, London

It doesn’t look too bad at first

There’s even a nice separate kitchen

Have a soak!

But then you spot your ‘bedroom’… which appears to be in a cupboard.

Alas, real estate agents Jayson Russell haven’t included a floorplan on the rental listing, so we can’t see exactly what space you’re getting for that £910 a month fee.

But what does appear to be on offer is the opportunity to sleep in a closet… and you’d shell out nearly £1,000 a month to do that.

Oh.

We’d also like to note that the wall next to the cupboard is the same shade of orange as the one pictured in the living room, so we think your bed would be in the corner cupboard of the lounge rather than in its own area.

The listing describes the flat as ‘spacious’ and notes that it has ‘wooden floors, separate kitchen, bathroom storage space, gas central heating’, making no mention of the, um, creative use of bedroom space.

The property sits on Sunny Gardens Road, with an easy walk to Hendon Central Tube station, and will be available from February 22, 2022.

We’d recommend a viewing before you commit. And perhaps some practice putting a fitted sheet on a bed with no way to walk around and fix the pinging-off corners.
