The 19-year-old midfielder is valued at £45 million by Southampton, who are open to selling him following their relegation from the Premier League.

Lavia impressed in his first season in the Premier League and has also been linked with Arsenal, Chelsea, and Nice.

Liverpool have already held discussions with Lavia and have also been linked with a move for Khephren Thuram, while Palmer has advised Lavia to reject a move to Chelsea and instead join Arsenal under Pochettino.
