The parents of critically ill baby Indi Gregory, who has mitochondrial disease, have had their legal challenge against a court ruling to end her life-support treatment dismissed. A
judge had ruled earlier this month that doctors could withdraw support against the parents' wishes. Indi's parents argued that the court's inquiry was inadequate and the trial was procedurally unfair.
However, the Court of Appeal concluded that they did not have a case to argue. The family, supported by Christian Concern, plans to take the case to the European Court of Human Rights. Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust expressed its commitment to providing specialized care for Indi and supporting her family.
