LBG Media, the owner of brands such as Ladbible, UniLad, and Sportbible, is targeting further expansion in the United States, following a year of significant growth.

The media group has expressed plans for additional investment aimed at enhancing its presence in the American market.

Established 13 years ago, LBG Media has rapidly expanded its operations, now employing over 500 people across its offices in Manchester, London, New York, and Melbourne.

The year 2024 marked a notable period for LBG Media.

Its commercial achievements included successfully running campaigns for various blue-chip brands, with heightened activity in the United States, recognized as the world's largest advertising market.

The company, which was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 2021, has thrived amidst an industry challenged by decreasing advertising revenues and the impact of social media platforms on traditional readership.

LBG Media reported a record global audience reach of 503 million over the year ending in October, showing a 20% increase compared to the previous year.

Out of this, its U.S. audience comprised 143 million.

The company's business model, heavily reliant on advertising partnerships, recently added prestigious clients such as Netflix and L’Oreal.

Additionally, the 2023 acquisition of Betches Media, focusing on female audiences, has contributed to diversifying the company’s revenue streams in the U.S.

Revenue increased by 22% to reach £86.2 million over the period, supported by collaborations with partners like Google.

LBG Media has projected a 10% revenue growth for the upcoming year, buoyed by favorable momentum in both the UK and U.S. markets.

The company attributed significant audience growth to engagements with key sporting events, most notably the Euro 2024 football tournament.

LBG Media's influence is particularly strong among Gen Z and Millennials, with founder Solly Solomou highlighting the platform's significant appeal.

This demographic's increasing purchasing power and influence continue to attract partnerships with major brands and celebrities.

In statements made on Wednesday, Solomou emphasized the company’s role as a leading digital content destination, citing campaigns aimed at social issues like encouraging youth voting and combating drink spiking as further drivers of their momentum.
