Moran has previously expressed deep concern for her extended family in Gaza, some of whom had to seek shelter in a church after an Israeli missile struck their home. Hamas, which governs the Gaza Strip, is considered a terrorist organization by several Western governments, including the UK. The conflict between Israel and Hamas has led to significant casualties on both sides, with over 11,000 people killed in Gaza, including 4,500 children, according to the Hamas-run health ministry, and 46 Israeli soldiers killed in the fighting, as reported by the Israel Defense Forces.
