Khan aims for an unprecedented third consecutive term. The poll by Lord Ashcroft also shows Liberal Democrat Rob Blackie at 10%, Green Party's Zoe Garbett at 7%, and Reform UK's Howard Cox at 5%.

Khan enjoys strong support from Labour voters, with 80% backing him, compared to 69% of Tory voters for Hall. Notably, 14% of 2019 Conservative voters might switch allegiance to Labour. However, Hall faces a recognition challenge, with only 7% of those polled identifying her compared to Khan's 77%.

Public dissatisfaction with the Conservative government is prominent, with 29% blaming it for London's issues. 54% of Hall supporters target Khan for the city's problems. Cost of living and housing affordability are Londoners' top concerns, with crime and traffic congestion also significant issues.

Londoners generally view life in the capital as deteriorating, particularly in previously quieter suburbs now facing central London challenges, including the expansion of the Ultra Low Emission Zone.

While Khan scores well on attracting investment and promoting the arts, he receives poor marks on handling crime, a key priority for voters. Despite widespread concerns, many Londoners still prefer living in the city over other locations. Although there's a sense of decline, they believe their circumstances are better than those in much of the UK.

The survey suggests Khan is well-positioned to defeat Hall in the coming election, as convincing Londoners to switch to another Conservative candidate amid current national political dissatisfaction poses a considerable challenge.
