Kylie expressed her excitement about receiving the award and performing, noting her deep connection with the UK and the Brits.
The Brits Global Icon Award is the event's most prestigious recognition, previously awarded to music legends such as Taylor Swift—the first female recipient—Sir Elton John, David Bowie, and Robbie Williams.
With three Brit Awards under her belt and over 80 million records sold, Kylie has enjoyed significant success, including nine number one albums and seven number one singles in the UK. She recently won the inaugural Grammy for Best Pop Dance Recording for "Padam Padam."
The 2024 Brit Awards also spotlight other nominees like The Rolling Stones, Little Simz, and Arlo Parks. Raye stands out with a record-breaking seven nominations this year.
The event, held at London's O2 Arena, will expand the Artist of the Year category to ten nominees in response to previous criticism and will be hosted by Clara Amfo, Maya Jama, and Roman Kemp.
