The project seeks to connect surplus food with food banks and charities to help those facing food insecurity. The King and Queen visited a surplus-food distribution center in Didcot, Oxfordshire, as part of the launch.

Additionally, Prince Harry is expected to make a transatlantic phone call to his father to extend birthday greetings.

The King's birthday plans included hosting a reception for NHS nurses and midwives, and he also interacted with people of the same age who attended a party at his home in Highgrove. Public service and addressing societal issues have been a central focus of his birthday engagements.
