King Charles seen for first time since diagnosis as Prince Harry arrives in the UK

King Charles has been spotted for the first time following his cancer diagnosis, coinciding with Prince Harry's arrival from the US.
The monarch, alongside the Queen, was seen departing their London residence, Clarence House, heading to Sandringham.

Prince Harry, having flown overnight, is in London to spend time with his father. Buckingham Palace had previously announced the 75-year-old King's diagnosis, stating he would temporarily reduce public engagements to undergo treatment. Details on his condition are scarce, but it is related to a procedure for an enlarged prostate.

The royal brothers were both informed of their father's health situation before the public disclosure. Upon leaving Clarence House, the King and Queen were seen smiling and waving. Prince Harry and his father met briefly before the King's departure to Sandringham.

Meanwhile, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, is expected to stay in the US with the couple's children. It is understood that there are no current plans for Prince Harry to see his brother, Prince William, during his UK visit.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak indicated that the King's cancer was detected early and shared that he remains in regular touch with the monarch. Official dealings between the two will continue throughout the King's treatment.

Prince Harry's swift return to the UK suggests a notable development in royal family dynamics, particularly following a period of distancing which included not returning for Christmas or other family events and discussions of family tensions in his memoir, "Spare."

Despite past frictions, primarily with Prince William, Prince Harry's recent UK visits have been linked to legal matters. However, alongside Meghan, he appears to be engaging in more public initiatives, with international travel, including a film premiere in Jamaica and plans for a Canadian event related to their Invictus Games.

Prince William, expected to cover some royal duties during his father's treatment, has not commented on the King's diagnosis. He is resuming his own engagements following the Princess of Wales's recovery from surgery.

Earlier, Princess Beatrice was seen at Clarence House, further indicating the family's support during this time.
