Last year's message, similar to his mother's tradition, blended personal thoughts with contemporary and religious themes.

Since his ascension, King Charles has remained vocal on environmental matters, including a recent speech at the COP28 summit. This year marks the first usage of a replantable tree, which is a more sustainable choice and can be reused annually.

The tree is decorated with sustainable materials and natural elements. The King and Queen Consort will celebrate Christmas at Sandringham and attend a morning church service.
