King Charles Honors British Troops, but Charity Donations Drop

King Charles has paid tribute to British troops for their "selfless service and sacrifice" in a letter to mark Armed Forces Day.

He acknowledged the "immense and dedicated contribution" of military personnel and praised their "deep pride" in their duty.

The Labour leader, Sir Keir Starmer, also visited an RAF base to mark the occasion, meeting with military personnel involved in the UK operation to provide assistance to Ukraine.

However, new research has shown a 1.1 million drop in the number of people donating to military charities over the past five years.
