Reports had surfaced about an attempt by a staff member to access Catherine's medical records.

The London Clinic, which regularly serves members of the royal family, emphasized that such breaches violate trust and will not be tolerated. The clinic's chief executive, Al Russell, reassured the public that his staff understood the importance of privacy and that any infringement would be met with a full investigation and necessary action.

The Information Commissioners' Office (ICO) is looking into a "breach report" from the clinic. They highlighted that under UK law, particularly the Data Protection Act 2018, unauthorized access to personal data is a criminal act.

Downing Street commented on the situation, stressing the critical importance of following strict regulations regarding patient data. The prime minister's spokesman conveyed wishes for the Princess of Wales's quick recovery.

Catherine, who underwent surgery in January, has taken a break from public engagements until after Easter. Her absence sparked online rumors about her health, reaching a climax when an edited image of her family was posted and later retracted.

Recently, a blurry video of the princess at a farm shop raised suspicions among social media users, but there was no evidence backing the claim that a body double was used. Kensington Palace didn't refute the couple's private outing.
