John Healey Cuts VAT on Household Electricity Bills After Cancelling National Digital ID Scheme

Chancellor of the Exchequer John Healey announced an immediate reduction in value added tax on electricity bills, expected to save households around forty-five pounds a year, with the measure funded by ending the proposed national digital identity programme.
