The grant will support organizations, including the Holocaust Educational Trust, to address antisemitism in educational settings.

Mr. Hunt responded to the recent spike in antisemitic incidents following the conflict between Hamas and Israel on October 7, stating that £3 million will be repeated for the Community Security Trust, enhancing protection for Jewish community sites.

The Labour Party's Rachel Reeves endorsed the initiative. Since the October 7 Hamas assault, which led to significant casualties and a subsequent Israeli military response, UK antisemitic hate crimes have surged, notably in London. The Metropolitan Police is actively pursuing related arrests and investigations.
