Jailed banker's wife must explain how she paid for Knightsbridge home and golf course

Zamira Hajiyeva, the wife of jailed banker Jahangir Hajiyev, has been ordered by the UK High Court to reveal how she financed the purchase of a Knightsbridge home and a Berkshire golf course, amid accusations the funds came from her husband's fraud.

Mr. Hajiyev is imprisoned in Azerbaijan for bank fraud. The National Crime Agency (NCA) is seeking to seize the properties, worth £22 million, if Mrs. Hajiyeva cannot prove the funds were lawfully acquired.

She was the first in the UK to receive an "Unexplained Wealth Order" and must now disclose the origin of her wealth at a future court hearing. She denies any wrongdoing.
