Israeli forces uncovered a tunnel with weapons in a Gaza school, according to the Israel Defence Forces. A combat team from the 5th Brigade found the tunnel in southern Gaza's Khirbet Ahza, along with pictures depicting weapons use by children and an assortment of mortars, grenades, and bullets

Additional military activities included raids on Hamas lookout points and targeting squads that fired anti-tank missiles in Khirbet Ahza. Near Khan Yunis, Israeli ground troops directed an airstrike against a group attempting to plant a bomb on a tank and confiscated weapons and significant cash from a Hamas militant's residence. An Israeli jet also hit a munitions site operated by Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Khan Yunis, and in Tupah, a drone-operating terror squad was neutralized.

The recent conflict on Oct. 7 resulted in over 1,200 fatalities near the Gaza border. The number of reported captives held by Hamas has reached 129, with ongoing efforts to account for missing individuals and identify remains.
