Linda Nolan, a renowned member of the Irish family musical group The Nolans, passed away at the age of 65 in Blackpool.

Her sister, Denise Nolan, reported that Linda was surrounded by family members when she died, reflecting her close familial ties in her final days.

Linda, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2005, became a prominent advocate for cancer awareness and fundraising.

Despite being given the all-clear in 2011, she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2017, which later metastasized to her brain.

Her advocacy included fundraising over £20 million for several charities, such as Breast Cancer Now, the Irish Cancer Society, and Samaritans.

Linda's hospitalization occurred after she faced severe breathing difficulties and was diagnosed with double pneumonia.

Despite the circumstances, Denise recalled that Linda maintained her good spirits, engaging in conversations with humor and gratitude towards the hospital staff.

As family members kept vigil, Linda entered a coma and received end-of-life care.

She passed away on Wednesday morning, supported by her sisters.

The emotional impact of her passing is profound for the family, as they previously experienced the loss of another sister, Bernie, from breast cancer in 2013.

In a tribute to her life and legacy, Blackpool Tower was illuminated in pink, honoring Linda's commitment to breast cancer awareness.

Her sisters, reflecting on Linda's vivacious personality and humor, expressed heartache through social media and public statements.

Linda's significant contributions to music with The Nolans include hits like "I'm In The Mood For Dancing." The group, celebrated for its success in the 1970s and 80s, also toured with entertainment giants such as Frank Sinatra.

Linda pursued a solo career as well, making her mark in West End productions, including "Blood Brothers."

Beyond her music career, Linda was an active participant in reality TV, including appearances on "Celebrity Big Brother." Her dedication to charitable causes and her vibrant personality left a lasting impact on both her family and the broader community.
