Harris has asked the Justice Minister to bring legislation to the cabinet to enable the sending back of asylum seekers to the UK.
However, a UK government source has said that the UK will not accept any asylum returns from the EU via Ireland until EU policies change.
Ms. McEntee, an Irish government minister, stated that 80% of recent asylum seekers in Ireland entered from Northern Ireland.
A scheduled meeting between her and UK Home Secretary James Cleverly was postponed to discuss migration issues.
The UK passed a law on Thursday to revive its Rwanda policy, which aims to deter Channel crossings by sending some asylum seekers to Rwanda.
No migrants have been sent yet.
The UK government has pushed back the timeline for resuming flights to 10-12 weeks, according to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
Meanwhile, Irish Taoiseach Micheál Martin attended a memorial event in County Monaghan for Fine Gael Senator Billy Fox, who was the only parliament member killed during the Troubles.
Regarding migration, Martin stated that Ireland will not compromise its own integrity to accommodate foreign policies and will not serve as a loophole for others' migration issues.
