A newborn baby boy was found deceased in a shopping bag outside All Saints’ Church on Talbot Road in Notting Hill, West London, on Tuesday at 12:46 PM. The Metropolitan Police have stated that there is currently no evidence to suggest a connection between this case and three siblings who were abandoned in separate incidents across east London over the past eight years.

The cases of the abandoned siblings include Elsa, Roman, and Harry, discovered in the years 2024, 2019, and 2017, respectively.

The ongoing investigation into the identity of their parents continues.

Elsa was found near the junction of the Greenway and High Street South in Newham in January 2024, wrapped in a towel inside a reusable shopping bag.

Harry was located in September 2017, wrapped in a white blanket in Balaam Street, Plaistow, and Roman was discovered in a play area off Roman Road, Newham, in late January 2019.

In the matter of the deceased newborn, Superintendent Owen Renowden of the Metropolitan Police expressed concerns for the welfare of the child's mother.

He appealed for her to come forward, stating the utmost priority is her health and well-being following this tragic event.

During a media briefing outside the church, he commended the professionalism of local refuse workers and the emergency services involved in responding to the incident.

The Metropolitan Police continue their appeal for information regarding the deceased child, urging anyone with relevant details to contact them on 101, quoting reference CAD 3431/25 March.

The investigation into the three siblings remains active, with an independent group, Crimestoppers, previously offering a £20,000 reward for information leading to their parents, which is set to expire on April 18.

Individuals with information about Elsa, Roman, and Harry are also encouraged to call the police on 101 or reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555 111 or via their website.
