Investigation Confirms Accidental Cause of Caravan Fire in Skegness
Father and daughter tragically perished in a holiday park fire; findings released by authorities.
An investigation into a fire at a caravan site near Skegness has concluded that the incident was accidental.
The fire occurred at a privately owned caravan within the Golden Beach Holiday Park, located in Roman Bank, Ingoldmells, at approximately 3:53 AM on Saturday.
The victims have been identified as Lee Baker, aged 48, and his 10-year-old daughter Esme Baker, both residents of the Nottingham area.
Following the completion of their inquiries, Lincolnshire Police released a statement confirming the findings of Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue.
The statement noted that the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
Despite the conclusion of the fire investigation, Lincolnshire Police will continue to explore the circumstances surrounding the incident in order to prepare a report for the coroner.
