This milestone follows the enactment of regulations through Cabinet Decision No. 85 on 28 Muharram 1445H (15/08/2023). The Authority's mission is to enhance sector efficiency, aligning with Saudi Vision 2030 and national leadership objectives.

Abdulaziz Al-Bouq, Chairman of the Board of Directors, outlined key objectives, including comprehensive sector regulation, safeguarding policyholder and beneficiary rights, promoting innovation in insurance products, and raising awareness of insurance practices. The Authority also commits to fostering competitiveness, improving service quality, and contributing to the national economy's growth.

Notably, existing insurance sector regulations will remain in effect until the Authority issues new directives. This ensures seamless continuity for ongoing insurance documents and claims, maintaining stability during the transition.

This move signifies Saudi Arabia's commitment to financial sector modernization and aligns with its economic goals. The Insurance Authority's independence heralds positive changes, transparency, and improved services, benefitting policyholders and the nation's economy. It underscores Saudi Arabia's position as a dynamic player in the global financial landscape.
