Khawar Farid Maneka has brought charges of fraudulent marriage and adultery against Imran Khan, age 71, and Bushra Bibi, age 49, in an Islamabad court. According to Dawn newspaper, the complaint cites sections of Pakistan's Penal Code concerning shared intentions and fornication.

At the hearing, Maneka, who has been recently bailed out on corruption charges, reaffirmed that Khan disrupted his marriage. The court has ordered three witnesses cited in the case to appear on November 28.

Earlier, Maneka blamed Khan for the downfall of his marriage, leading to Khan marrying Bushra Bibi. The accusations have led to a political spat, with Khan's party dismissing the claims on moral grounds and opponents from PML-N exploiting them against him.

In his complaint, Maneka seeks strict legal penalties against Khan and Bushra Bibi, accusing Khan of inappropriate visits and late-night calls to Bushra before their divorce in 2017 and subsequent marriage in January 2018.

This comes after another similar case was retracted for technical reasons just a day prior.
