We’re in the midst of resort season, with designers around the world presenting their largely optimistic visions of how people will be dressing this holiday season. Nicolas Ghesquière presented his latest Louis Vuitton womenswear collection at a sculpture garden outside of Paris, France on Tuesday. He told Vogue of his latest designs, “There’s a jubilance to it.” Meanwhile, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Christian Dior took their cruise show to Athens, Greece. The ethereal dresses, grounded by sneakers, certainly fit the location.

Last Sunday, Dr. Jill Biden and President Joe Biden met Queen Elizabeth II for tea at Windsor Castle. Dr. Biden wore a perfectly appropriate powder-blue suit for the occasion, while President Biden opted for standard navy. Looking forward to this weekend, there are two holidays on the horizon. The first is Juneteenth, the commemoration of the end of slavery in the U.S. held on the 19th, which as of this Thursday is a federal holiday. Finishing the week on a high note is Father’s Day.
