Ideal World TV Shopping Channel Goes into Administration, Majority of Staff Made Redundant
Ideal World, a TV shopping channel, has gone into administration and made the "majority" of its staff redundant.
The decision was made by the administrators, Kroll Advisory UK, due to overall trading not being strong enough for the business to continue after a slump in viewers.
The company had about 275 employees at its headquarters in Peterborough, and the administrators will fulfil existing customer orders where possible, but trading operations have been suspended and will not restart.
The company was bought by investor Hamish Morjaria last year.
