The head of the UN's nuclear watchdog, Rafael Grossi, stated on Wednesday in Vienna that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) does not classify Iran's Parchin site as a nuclear facility.

This statement follows Israel's claim of targeting Iran's nuclear program with a strike last month.

Grossi informed the press that the IAEA has no evidence of nuclear material present at Parchin, despite past activities that could suggest involvement.

He emphasized that the agency does not consider the location nuclear, leaving military categorization to respective authorities.

Earlier this week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced in the Israeli parliament that an Israeli attack in late October had affected a part of Iran's nuclear program.

Netanyahu mentioned that although a component was hit, the overall program continues to operate.

An Axios report, citing anonymous US and Israeli officials, claimed that the strike destroyed a secretive nuclear weapons research facility in Parchin, located approximately 50 kilometers southeast of Tehran.

Israel has consistently accused Iran of pursuing atomic bomb capabilities, a charge Iran continues to deny.
