Huw Edwards Charged for Indecent Images of Children
Former BBC News presenter Huw Edwards has been charged with three counts of making indecent images of children. Edwards, aged 62 from Southwark, London, was arrested on 8th November 2023 and charged on 26th June 2023, following authorization from the Crown Prosecution Service.
He is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on 31st July.
The charges include possessing six category A images, twelve category B images, and nineteen category C images.
A conviction could result in several years of imprisonment.
