Holly Willoughby Returns to This Morning Following Phillip Schofield's Departure

Holly Willoughby has returned to presenting duties on This Morning, following the departure of her former co-host Phillip Schofield.

Schofield had revealed an affair with a younger ITV male employee and subsequently resigned from ITV.

Willoughby addressed viewers at home and said it felt strange being on the series without her former co-host.

She expressed her thoughts on the situation, stating that it feels strange, shaken, troubled, and let down.

She also expressed her concerns for the wellbeing of all parties involved.

Willoughby also acknowledged the support of her co-hosts and the entire This Morning team, and expressed her desire for the show to continue to be a positive and welcoming place for everyone.

The BBC has instructed barrister Jane Mulcahy KC of Blackstone Chambers to conduct an external review of the facts in response to a complaint.
