Here's Your Front Row Seat at the Dior Cruise 2021 Show in Puglia

This is your front row ticket to Dior's next runway show.

By now, it is no secret that fashion week is taking a new course. As we sit amid a global health pandemic and demands for social justice, the fashion community questions how to move forward with runway shows. Next Wednesday, July 22, at 2:45pm Eastern time Dior will livestream their Cruise 2021 collection, and it might just be exactly what we need to remain hopefully about the future of fashion.

Complying to social distancing policies, the show will have no live audience. Instead, guests will be invited to watch the event via livestream. Resort, or "cruise" collection shows were once a highly exclusive event, with only top editors and fashion royals flying in to the glamourous locales to take in the new collection. Now, you too can have a front row seat, as the show will be broadcasted from a runway in Puglia, Italy, to one of the largest live audiences in Dior history.

Last year, the Dior cruise collection honored the African community as Maria Grazia Chirui, creative director of Dior, curated the line inspired by a Moroccan motif. This year Chiuri, famous for channeling social messages through her collections, leave the fashion industry eager to find out what we should anticipate.

Pietro Beccari, CEO and president of Dior, sat alongside Chirui at a digital press conference last month announcing they plan to diligently stick to the traditional fashion week calendar. It was exceptionally important for Chiuri to bring this show to Puglia. It was her father's birthplace, and much of the craft the region is known for is said to make an appearance in the forthcoming collection.

As other esteemed labels such as Gucci and Saint Laurent have chosen to abandon the traditionally timed presentations, Dior upholds tradition in effort to maintain fashion normalcy. Stream the collection via the link below, and enjoy your front row seat as you watch history in the making.
