Five-year-old Kaiden Burn suffered serious injuries to his legs, hand, and ear when an "out of control" dog attacked him outside his home. Neighbors had to use a broom to fight off the dog and free Kaiden from its jaws.
Due to the severity of his injuries, Kaiden is currently using a wheelchair and cannot attend school. His mother, Chloe, expressed her fear of dogs and her support for measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.
The dog's owner reportedly watched as the attack unfolded. Two people have been arrested in connection with the incident, and concerns have been raised about the dog's previous behavior.
The Mirror is advocating for changes to the Dangerous Dogs Act, enforcement of rules against irresponsible dog breeding and selling, and a public information campaign promoting responsible dog ownership in response to a rise in dog attacks.
