Hate Preachers From Pak, Afghanistan, Indonesia To Be Blocked From Entering UK: Report
The UK government is preparing measures to prevent extremist hate preachers from Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Indonesia from entering Britain, as reported by 'The Daily Telegraph'.
This action follows a rise in extremist activity and will involve placing identified extremists on visa warning lists to bar their entry.
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak recently emphasized the threat that extremists pose to the UK's democratic values. Sunak affirmed the government's commitment to safeguarding the nation's principles, stating that individuals inciting hatred would be removed.
The move comes amid concerns about alliances between left-wing groups and Islamist extremists in the UK, as noted by Lord Walney, the government's adviser on political violence.
His impending report to the Home Office addresses the need to counteract these threats. A Home Office spokesperson reiterated the government’s stance against extremism and the importance of public safety.
