During a broadcast, Abu Obeida, a spokesperson for the militant group, stated that the condition of many hostages was now unknown and that the remainder faced immense risk due to Israeli aggression. He held Israeli authorities fully accountable for the situation.

Furthermore, Abu Obeida reported that Hamas's partners in the "axis of resistance" plan to intensify strikes against Israeli forces soon. He criticized the Israeli leadership for suffering setbacks in the ongoing conflict, which has spanned over 100 days.

Accusing Israel of a "religious war," Abu Obeida claimed that Israeli forces had decimated the majority of mosques in Gaza, disrespecting, burning, and demolishing them, thereby stifling the call to prayer.
