Israel's President Isaac Herzog alleged that Hamas attackers were carrying instructions on how to make chemical weapons, reportedly found on a USB drive discovered on one of the terrorists' bodies. This discovery was made during an attack on Kibbutz Be'eri, where numerous residents were killed or kidnapped.
The material was declassified and shared as part of Israel's efforts to counter doubts about the scale of the October 7 attacks, during which over 1,400 people were killed. The USB drive contained instructions on creating a "cyanide dispersion device," according to Israeli media and a classified cable sent to Israeli embassies.
President Herzog publicly revealed this information, describing it as "Al Qaeda material" and indicating Hamas's intention to use chemical weapons in terror attacks. Neither Israel nor Hamas commented on the leaked cable's contents.
President Herzog has been advocating for international support for Israel's response to the attacks, defending Israel's actions and emphasizing the need to eliminate Hamas. He expressed his concern for both Israeli and Palestinian lives, highlighting the necessity of creating a vision for peace in the region.
