Under the updated framework, individuals moving to the United Kingdom from overseas must live in the country for at least one year before making political donations of £100,000 or more. Corporate donations will now be assessed against post-tax profits rather than revenue, in an effort to strengthen transparency and reduce the risk of foreign interference in political funding.
