Lawyers have called for the release of Sturgeon's unredacted WhatsApp messages.
Jeane Freeman, the former Scottish health secretary, previously testified that the government failed to implement recommendations from pre-pandemic planning exercises and there were issues with distributing PPE to frontline staff.
The Scottish government has also faced delays in its separate inquiry.
