Maureen McKelvey, a former sub-postmistress from Omagh prosecuted due to Horizon system shortfalls but later acquitted, found Winter's apology insincere.
During a London inquiry attended by McKelvey and three other impacted sub-postmistresses, Winter apologized for any wrongful prosecutions resulting from the faulty system.
Despite being informed during her training that the system was entirely reliable, she now acknowledges her past understanding differs greatly from current knowledge.
The inquiry, which continues to unfold, has spotlighted the recovery quotas set for investigators like Winter, who was expected to recoup 65% of the fraud losses.
Over 900 sub-postmasters and mistresses were wrongfully prosecuted for theft due to Horizon's inaccurate data, leading to prison sentences and financial destruction for many.
