Additionally, the company has a "Midterm Election" package: a two-year cruise priced at $150,399 for a single traveler or $187,998 for a couple. Guests can also book one- or three-year voyages aboard the continuously sailing Odyssey. The ship features spa facilities and fitness programs, and tickets cover meals with free beer and wine during lunch and dinner.
Business Insider reported that prior to the 2020 election, millions of Americans considered leaving the country if Trump was re-elected. After the election results were announced, online searches for "moving to Canada" surged. Although the Odyssey cruise doesn't offer actual citizenship or immigration, it gives passengers an opportunity to "escape the traffic, politics, and urban routine."
The Odyssey's inaugural voyage began in September, after being delayed in Belfast, Ireland, for four months. It was reported that two passengers who consistently complained about the delays were removed from the ship and had their contracts terminated.
Interestingly, while escaping, these passengers will support Elon Musk’s Starlink, as the ship provides internet access. They’ll be avoiding politics while ironically funding the tech billionaire who played a role in Trump's rise.
However, having these individuals far from home? It’s evidence that a Trump victory indeed makes America great again.
