Flynas Debuts Direct Flight from Jeddah to Brussels
Flynas, Saudi Arabia's budget carrier, has launched its inaugural direct flight linking Jeddah with Brussels. This event highlights flynas' entry into the European market and establishes it as the first Saudi airline to offer direct flights between Saudi Arabia and the European Union hub, per the Saudi Press Agency.
The connection is part of the Saudi Air Connectivity Program, which aligns with the National Tourism Strategy intended to boost the Kingdom's global links, aiming to attract 150 million tourists and expand to 250 international destinations by 2030.
With the presence of Belgian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Pascal Gregoire and other dignitaries, the launch underscores the growing ties between Saudi Arabia and Belgium.
The program, crucial for Saudi tourism since its 2021 introduction, seeks to develop air travel routes to transform the Kingdom into a top tourism destination. It encourages cooperation between public and private sectors in tourism and aviation.
Flynas's route addition reflects Saudi Arabia's ambition to diversify its economy and solidify its presence in international tourism. Recently, the airline also introduced six new routes, including local flights to Abha and Tabuk, and international ones to Dubai, Amman, Istanbul, and Ankara.
