Fendi’s New Recycled-PVC Bag Just Feels Like Spring

Fendi’s New Recycled-PVC Bag Just Feels Like Spring

Logo-embossed and ’80s-inspired, the basket bag seems to suit every occasion or mood.

Spring tends to arrive in two waves-the first is the technical arrival of spring. The calendar says it’s spring, but the brisk temperatures still feel winter-like. The second coming of spring arrives weeks later when the weather begins to shapeshift into something more pleasant. As the trees blossom, we trade in our dark winter wears for warmer weather staples, like floaty dresses and bright accessories-like Fendi’s latest arrival, the Fendi Basket bag. The handbag, which was first introduced in Fendi’s spring 2021 runway show, launches today just in time for spring’s sartorial second wave.

Logo-embossed and ’80s-inspired, the basket bag seems to suit every occasion or mood. On the runway, the punchy pink accessory was paired with more muted, demure dresses, and tied all together with matching pink gloves or hosiery. The label’s lookbook offers another take; here, the bag is worn with more casual day clothes, like sneakers, slide sandals, matching knit separates, and playsuits. These bright-hued handbags appear just as functional for everyday wear as they are visually appealing. Plus, there’s the added eco-bonus. Each of the bags in the collection is made of 100% recycled PVC, composed mainly of pre-consumer waste.

Shop the bag in an array of colors (yellow, pink, light blue, orange, and white) and two sizes (a medium and small.) Both offer enough room for your essentials-phones, keys and wallets, mask, hand sanitizers-and can be worn with a crossbody strap should you want to go hands-free. Here, shop Fendi’s new basket bag just in time for the cheery, warm months ahead.
