Nigel Farage has outlined a manifesto pledging to withdraw Britain from the European Convention on Human Rights and negotiate bilateral returns deals with countries such as Eritrea and Afghanistan:contentReference[oaicite:9]{index=9}.

He proposes building holding facilities for 24,000 migrants on air bases and operating five deportation flights a day at a cost of about £2.5 billion, describing the policy as “mass deportations”:contentReference[oaicite:10]{index=10}.

The plan comes after 37,000 people crossed the Channel last year, with only 3 % deported, and amid widespread protests over asylum hotels.

Farage claims immigration is now voters’ top concern and says his programme would restore control of Britain’s borders.
