Despite concessions from Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, dropping plans to cut diesel subsidies and promising relief from financial and bureaucratic burdens, France's largest farm union, the FNSEA, vowed to press on with demonstrations, including roadblocks on major highways.

Farmers, set to converge on Paris on Monday, aim to disrupt the city, with a potential focus on the Rungis food market. Prime Minister Attal, planning to visit a protest site on Sunday, hopes to stem the growing dissent.

Additionally, in a somber display of solidarity, protestors marched silently in Beauvais to honor the memory of farmers who've died tragically, some by suicide under the strain of their work.

As the EU's top agricultural producer, France's unrest mirrors actions taken by farmers in countries like Germany and Poland, all voicing concerns over the challenges posed by globalization and international competition.
