The German newspaper Spiegel has predicted “unpredictable times” for Europe if “Dictator Trump,” as they called him, wins the US elections.

Reading such a 'Der Stürmer' style title in 2024 makes me wonder: Does Der Spiegel really believe that the European Union , under Ursula von der Leyen, is a democracy?.

Or do they think their readers are blind enough to believe so?

Or do they just believe that a dictatorship is acceptable only if it's German?
