The EU mission in the Red Sea, named EUNAVFOR Aspides, announced on Sunday that it has protected 120 commercial ships and destroyed 12 drones, one drone boat, and four ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis in the past three months.

Launched on February 19, the mission involves five naval units and 1,000 personnel from 19 nations.

The Philippines Department of Migrant Workers confirmed that 23 Filipino citizens aboard an oil ship recently attacked by Houthis were safe.

Despite numerous Houthi aggressions over the last seven months, including an attack in March that killed three sailors, maritime traffic has been effectively defended.

Moreover, human rights activists reported the death of Najeed Hassan Farea, a man tortured in Houthi custody for the past seven years, highlighting ongoing human rights abuses.
